I got my first pair of curling Sandals in '77, when they used to custom fit you for the pair, everyone had to wait in a long line (a big deal, since it was summer time in pasadena texas!) while they sanded down the rubber soles.
Remark: Lifeguards and Curling Sandals, you can't have one without the other.
